Obama makes statement on terror attack which annoys Liz Cheney

The United States struggled to heal after September 11th. Any person that was in the United States of America then knows that. Even history books show us how devastating that day was to not only the friends and families of the individuals lost in the terrorists’ attack but also to everybody who lived in America at the time. The majority are concerned that President Obama doesn’t think September 11th hit the country as hard as it did. A comment was made by Cheney in reaction to Obama’s remark.

What was Obama’s comment?

President Obama put into words his feelings on terrorist attacks, such as the September 11th attack. Bob Woodward

showed in his new book, “Obama Wars,” President Obama stating:

We can absorb a terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, the biggest attack ever… we absorbed it and we are stronger.”

This statement made Dick Cheney’s daughter really mad. His daughter is Liz Cheney.

The statement Cheney stated in reaction

The terror attack statement made by President Obama made Liz Cheney really angry. The way she viewed it, Obama said evidently that he didn’t plan on using all of his power and resources to protect The United States. She said that Obama needed to explain.

She said, as outlined by CBS News,:

Americans expect our President to…use everyeach tool at his disposal to find, defeat, capture and kill terrorists. We expect him to…make it clear to our adversaries that an attack on the United States will carry devastating consequences. Instead, President Obama is reported to have said, ‘We can absorb a terrorist attack.’ This comment suggests an alarming fatalism on the part of President Obama… The President owes the American people an explanation.

Several call for Obama to explain himself

Many other people want an explanation to the Obama terror attack statement that was made. 12 News has Bilal wondering why the president would even think about making a comment like that. He was also upset with the idea the president of the United States may not be doing every little thing in his power to stop terror attacks from happening. Then there are the people wondering why the President would be telling terrorists to go ahead and hit us. Since Cheney, and others, love to criticize the Obama administration, Mitch Marconi thinks it is all just an overreaction. It doesn’t really matter if they’re overreacting or not. Everybody nevertheless expects Obama to explain.
